Her birth date is 29 March 1985 in Roswell in New Mexico. Gerina Michelle Mendoza has been her given name. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico as the daughter of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. Her heritage is Mexican American however she has an American nationality. From the time she was a kid, she's had a keen interest in playing sports. Gerina began playing golf after she turned 15 years old. Gerina was a graduate of Goddard High School. When she was in the high school level, she was able to win at the New Mexico state golf tournament. She was a volleyball player and was also a participant in state tournaments. In 2003, she started studying at the University of Texas. In the final years of her career, she was the winner of every event where she played. In her time at college she was awarded her Conference USA Player of The Award and the UTEP Female Sports Athletics Award.
